This site is dedicated to the San Francisco Artists who in the early 1970s thought it would be “groovy” to sell their Art on the streets of San Francisco and some who are still at it today. The photo above was taken in 1972 when the Street Artists with the help of Attorney Bob Kantor (holding flowers) were successful in obtaining passage of Article 24, the first San Francisco Street Artists Ordinance.
