Eberardo Saucedo Hernandez San Francisco Street Artist

My artistic career began in 1974 designing silkscreens on paper and cloth. Later, I experimented with miniature painting on glass, painted gourds and now I prefer panoramics on canvas. Recent works have been exhibited at Vesuvio, Venus Gallery, Dolee Amore, Rock Candy and the Stray Bar – all in San Francisco.

I was born in East Los Angeles – one of eight children to Mexicano parents and grew up in South Central L.A. I moved to the Bay Area in 1970 and currently live in Bernal Heights, S.F.

I’m a Vietnam – era veteran and, via the G.I. Bill, earned and AA from L.A. City College and a BA from Cal State, East Bay.

I’ve been shaped by my experiences in urban neighborhoods, living primarily among low-income and working – class Latinos and African Americans. This has led me to a life – long commitment to an active involvement in the struggles of people of color both nationally and internationally.

Thanks

Eberardo
